On 6 May 2024, changes to the Family Law Act 1975 (‘FLA’) will take effect, pursuant to the Family Law (Amendment) Act 2023 (‘FLAA’). These changes will affect parents who have current parenting matters before the Court which will not be finalised before 6 May 2024. Existing Court orders will not be impacted.
